Our staff are actively involved in scientific, metrological and standardization organisations, in which we contribute to the development of standards and technical reports as well as supporting the measurement community on a national and international level. Examples of our involvement are:
- International Commission on Illumination (CIE). Active participation and chairing of technical committees; organising conferences and workshops; invited lectures; governance. Managing Director Tony Bergen presently serves as Vice-President Technical of the CIE and is Past-President of CIE Australia.
- Standards Australia (SA). Active participation in several SA committees developing and updating Australian and New Zealand standards.
- Metrology Society of Australasia (MSA). Active members; former membership of the national committee; organised the MSA conference held in Melbourne in March 2020. Managing Director Tony Bergen is currently serving as President of the MSA.
- National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA). Technical assessors; membership of NATA’s Accrediation Advisory Committees.
APR Laboratory is a sustaining organisational member of CIE Australia
